Learners can also discover what their future may hold when they participate in the annual Eskom Expo for young scientists, which is held in Ladysmith each year. This is an exposition, or science fair, where learners have a chance to show their projects about their own scientific investigations. This increases their awareness of the wonders of science and it adds to their knowledge and broadens their scientific horizons.

Other opportunities are Career Dress up Day, Entrepreneurs day, participation in the GET – Award, etc.
